Cadmium Plating

Cadmium has found good application in electrical and aircraft industries because of its low cathode potential in relation to Aluminium. It has excellent corrosion resistance; however, it is toxic in nature. Recent directives have forbidden the usage of Cadmium in several applications with some exceptions in aerospace and marine applications.
