Zinc Alloys

The demand for corrosion-resistant Zinc-plated components is on the rise. Especially in the case of the automobile industry, competition has given way to seeking more ‘warranty life’ to the finished goods. So, the functional properties of plated components are improved by adopting suitable Zinc alloy plating processes with the required chromate conversion coating. Alloying material incorporated in Zinc matrix enhances corrosion resistance without affecting any other features of the Zinc deposit. There are four techno-commercially viable alloy processes - Zinc-Cobalt, Zinc-Iron, Zinc-Nickel and Tin-Zinc.
